School Celebrates Nutrition Month

“Kalamidad Paghandaan: Gutom at Malnutrisyon Agapan” was the theme of the National Christian Life College in celebration of the National Nutrition Month 2014.

The celebration highlighted the importance of eating healthy foods and having a proper lifestyle.

Moreover, it focused on the physical and mental fitness of each student.

The celebration was flavored with different activities and events suitable per department that increases the students’ interest to partake the celebration. 

The preschool department had a fun-filled parade within the campus as they displayed their caps parading about the Go, Grow and Glow foods.

The Kinder 1 showed what should be put on our plates and the Kinder 2 showed what foods should be bought and put in one’s baskets.

The culmination of the event had a short talk from the head nurse of the Clinic Department who discussed the theme and after that is the food display of the Go, Grow and Glows Foods with emphasis of “Eating Right, Be Bright!”

While the Elementary department brought out the best of the primary pupils in every contests they participated.

A salt-dough making contest was held which they about to mold nutritious foods using a dough and NutriQuiz was also in-line to really test the students' knowledge.

There was also a fruit and vegetable book making contest that let the participants compile pictures of different nutritious foods.

Last but totally not the least, the secondary level made each week a blastful week for the students.

Trivia Quiz happened on the first week which was joined together by all year levels while the second week was Poster making contest which creatively joined by the grade 7 pupils.

Third week challenged all the grade 8 with their Powerpoint contest on the other hand, grade 9 pupils brought out their best in and joined the Photoshop contest.

The highschool department awarding ceremony was held last July 30, 2014 and an event happened where each section in each grade level picked their representatives which must possess physical and mental fitness.

Two among the twenty-eight contestants stood out and suited the title Mr. And Ms. Fitness 2014 namely Friendly of 4th year Nobility and  of 9-Integrity.
