NCLC Graduating Class 2014-2015 Holds Retreat Camp

The National Christian Life College, high school department held the 8th year-end retreat camp for the graduating class last February 24-26, 2015, at Betania Retreat House, Calamba, Laguna with a theme “Overcoming Hurdles and Impossibilities in Life” taken from Jeremiah 32:17.

They were divided into four groups namely: Blue Shepherd, Green Catalyst, Red Nephilim and Yellow SWAG (Soldiers Walking According to God).

On the first day, the participants of the said event gathered at 7:00 in the morning for the registration followed by checking and inspection, welcome service and orientation, and the first team building.

Home for the Aged was the first location they visited wherein they conducted a special program for the elderly.

The highlight of the first day was the “seniors’ night” where the fourth years were able to showcase their talents.

The second day started early with a devotion followed by the reveille and seminar 1; in the afternoon was the second and third team building, recollection and seminar 2.

Dedication night was the focus of the second night wherein they were able to realize the importance of family through the letter from their parents, appreciation gifts and testimonies from teachers.

They were able to visit Orlina Glass Museum in Tagaytay on the third day and after that they went to Maranatha Christian Academy, Malagasang Chapter where their fellow fourth year students welcomed them.

The main purpose of the retreat was to develop camaraderie, to uphold Christian values and to make the graduating students well-prepared for what the future will bring.
