National Christian Life College, NCLC, MCA, Maranatha Christian Academy,

It’s only the 2nd month of the school year yet the NCLC Grade School is already packed with fun-filled activities. To kick-off the festivities for the month of July, the opening of Nutrition Month was held last July 2, 2018. This year’s Nutrition Month theme is “Eat Right, Be Healthy and Bright”. Several programs were already done, thru the leadership of Technology and Livelihood Education Subject Coordinator, Ms Merry Hazel Rabo.
Last July 6, the said subject area coordinated with the Class Advisers in launching the Healthy Hydration Program, which aims to promote drinking lots of water and keep the body hydrated. Room-per-room seminars were also done thru the help the school’s clinic staff. These seminars focused on proper hygiene and first aid. To further promote healthy eating habit among the NCLC Grade Schoolers, “Healthy Packed Recess and Lunch Program” was likewise initiated. A schedule of food meals was monitored every Monday of the said month. These were vegetables, fish, fruits, chicken and meat. The weekly schedule was followed thru the aforementioned order.
Some of the month’s activities are yet to be done in the coming days. These are: Sandwich-Making, On-the-Spot Slogan and Poster Making Contest, and the Closing and Awarding Program on July 30.
