This summer 2018, National Christian Life College successfully launched its Summer Enrichment Program that started last April 30th. There are different classes being offered from pre-school to high school, which aims to broaden the skills and knowledge of the NCLC students in the week-long program. In the field of journalism, summer enrichment program catered lessons for editorial cartooning, layouting, photojournalism, TV and radio broadcasting. Lecturers are alumni students who won and participated in the National School Press Conference 2017 and 2018; and are members of the NCLC News Patrol. Activities done by aspiring journalists were not only educational but also interactive as they were given a chance to create their own news production; applying all the teachings they have learned about the basics of journalism taught in the first two days of the program. Reading, wRiting and aRithmetic or also known as the 3R’s is a program that targets to further reinforce and enhance the comprehension, spelling and reading skills of NCLCians, it also involves techniques in solving Mathematics’ four fundamental operations. NCLC is not only known for its academic competence but also in the field of sports. This summer enrichment program conducted trainings for basketball, volleyball and badminton. There are also guitar and violin lessons provided, unlocking and nourishing the gift of music of the NCLCians. Learning is not only confined in the four corners of the room, learning is a continuous process. Even if summer vacation starts, NCLC believes that with the help of this program, students are able to enhance and be guided in the field they pursue.
